During the course of freeway development public meetings are held in different settings to share and receive information about projects.  The meetings give the public (community residents/officials) an opportun- ity for ADOT staff to answer questions and address concerns from the community.  This page shows an early Saturday morning public meeting hosted by the City of Mesa with the Mesa Fire Department.  The fire- men prepared a pancake breakfast buffet for the community residents.  The firemen mascot was in attendance to greet the children.  ADOT staff answered questions and tried out one of the fire engine trucks.  A more formal meeting called Partnering was held with the SRPMIC, contractor and ADOT staff (lower right image).
