| The architectural
aesthetic (art) development of the Arizona Department of Transportation
(ADOT) Freeway/Interstate has been a gradual development process
over a period of approximately 20 years and continues to
this day. The ADOT map shows the overall freeways throughout
the Phoenix/ Mesa metro- politan valley. Prior to constructing
the freeways, corridor meetings are held to develop aesthetic
themes. These meetings are attended by key community
officials and ADOT staff. Later the land is cleared to
begin the freeway construction. Gradually the structures
start to appear. The following website pages will show
